La Casermetta was born from an entrepreneurial idea of an Ossola family and their desire for hospitality. The structure is a historic 19th-century Villa, used for years as a military barracks and recently remodeled in respect of its history.
Located in the heart of the historic center, La Casermetta offers six cozy and refined rooms each furnished according to the imagination and refined taste of our Luca.

The Territory
In the Province of Verbania, in the middle of the Piedmontese Alps and just a few kilometers from the Swiss border opens the Vigezzo Valley, the scene of enchanting natural scenery and home to a long cultural tradition.
Among the reasons for its popularity, the Valley of the Painters is renowned for the many villages that throughout history hosted chimney sweeps and artists, for the historic Vigezzina railway that connects Domodossola to Locarno, for the Sanctuary of Re and the Miracle of Blood, and for being the access point to the Val Grande National Park, Italy’s largest wilderness area.
